Yes. Free tests are scored automatically and you do not need a card to begin. Premium tests and examiner-marked Writing are part of the paid plans, and every test shows a Free or Premium badge before you start.

Every answer is saved as you type. If your connection drops or you close the page, open the same test again and it resumes exactly where you left off, with the correct time remaining.

Yes. Tests are clearly labelled Academic or General Training. Listening and Speaking are the same for both versions, while Reading and Writing follow the format of the version you choose.

Reading and Listening are marked instantly and your raw score out of 40 is converted into a band using the standard IELTS conversion for your test type. Writing is scored by an examiner against the four official criteria. Your overall band is the average of your four module bands, rounded to the nearest half band.
